The Wool Sweater Mittens
Sweater mittens with a story.
These beautiful vintage-style gems are made from upcycled wools in partnership with Needle and Spice and Kelowna’s Woman’s Shelter Thrift store in British Columbia, Canada. Your purchase helps support The Woman’s Shelter and partner businesses, while giving wool a second life!
Each mitten is sewn twice and double lined with a unique print to ensure a strong seam. The cuffs are hand-stitched so that they never turn or catch on your coat. The mittens are hot water washed and felted to make them ultra warm and wind-resistant.
In their past life, these mittens were wool sweaters from brands like Roots, Paolo Mondo, Wilfred, TNA, Lord and Taylor, Levis, and more!
Grab 'em while they're hot - we only made one of each style!
- Double-lined with unique patterns inside and out.

Made in Canada, always.
- Each pair sold = one tree planted!
These OOAK creations are hand-crafted by Dianne from Needle and Spice - a small, eco-friendly business whose mission is to divert quality wool from the landfill or being shredded into “unknown fiber” and recreated into amazing warm mittens, cowls and more. Dianne is passionate about reimagining quality wool. The majority of her finds come from partnerships like Kelowna’s Woman’s Shelter and other local thrift stores. We're very excited to work with Dianne toward zero waste! All the sweater scraps are saved and made into wool dryer balls. When your mittens reach the end of their long life, remove the buttons and tag, cut into strips and compost.
